Editing Text and Images in a PDF

Editing Text and Images in a PDF

Need to fix a typo or swap out an image? PDFgear makes it simple to make direct edits to your PDF — no more going back to Word just to make a tiny change.

✏️ Editing Text

  1. Open your PDF in PDFgear.

  2. Click Edit in the top toolbar.

  3. Click on any text in the document — a text box will appear.

  4. Make your changes, just like you would in Word.

  5. Click outside the text box when you’re done.

📝 Tip: You can also add brand new text boxes anywhere you like.

🖼 Editing or Replacing Images

  1. Open the PDF and click Edit.

  2. Click directly on the image you want to change.

  3. Press Delete to remove it, or right-click to access image tools.

  4. Use the Add Image tool to insert a new one.

💡 Good to Know

  • PDFgear preserves your formatting as best it can, but complex layouts may need a little cleanup.

  • You can undo changes using Ctrl + Z (Windows) or Cmd + Z (Mac).
