Adding Text Boxes, Highlights, and Annotations

PDFgear gives you powerful tools to mark up and annotate PDFs — great for reviewing documents, filling out forms, or just leaving notes for your team.

Adding Text Boxes

  1. Open your PDF in PDFgear.

  2. Click the Edit tab.

  3. Select Add Text or Text Box.

  4. Click anywhere on the page to insert your text box.

  5. Type your content, and adjust the font, size, or color as needed.

Highlighting Text

  1. Select the Comment tab.

  2. Choose Highlight.

  3. Click and drag over the text you want to highlight.

🎨 You can change the highlight color if needed — perfect for color-coding your notes.

Adding Comments & Annotations

  1. Under the Comment tab, select tools like:

    • Sticky Note – drop a note anywhere

    • Underline or Strikethrough

    • Drawing Tools – freehand lines, shapes, etc.

  2. Click where you want to annotate and add your comments.

Editing or Removing Annotations

  • To move or resize: click the annotation and drag it.

  • To delete: right-click the annotation and choose Delete.
