Compress a PDF File

Got a PDF that’s too large to email or upload? PDFgear makes it easy to reduce file size without sacrificing too much quality.

📉 Why Compress a PDF?

Open PDFgear from your desktop or Start menu.
Select Compress PDF from the home screen.
Click Add File and select the PDF you want to compress.
Choose a compression level:
- Low – best quality, smaller size reduction
- Medium – balance of size and quality
- High – smallest file, lower quality
Click Compress.
Choose where to save the smaller PDF and click Save.

Your file will be compressed and ready to share.

⚠️ Heavily compressing a file may reduce image quality or remove embedded fonts — be sure to preview the result if quality matters.
