Calibrating Your Zebra ZD410/ZD411 Label Printer
If your labels are printing off-center, with cut‑off text, or overlapping onto two labels, it’s time to recalibrate your Zebra ZD410 printer.
1. Open the Printer
Press both yellow buttons on the sides of the printer towards you to open the lid.
Lift the lid and remove any labels if necessary.
2. Align the Sensor
Inside, you’ll see a small yellow sensor on a sliding rail.
There’s a black arrow on the sensor and a faint arrow marking on the gray molding.
Slide the sensor left or right so the black arrow lines up with the gray plastic arrow.
3. Close the Printer
Carefully lower the lid until it snaps shut.
4. Initiate Calibration
On the front panel, press and hold both the Pause and Cancel buttons together for about 3–5 seconds.
The printer will start feeding blank labels to measure the label size and spacing automatically.
5. Calibration Finishes Automatically
Labels will keep printing until calibration is complete.
When the feed stops, calibration is done.
6. Test Your Setup
Print a test label or batch of labels.
They should now print correctly, centered, and without overlap.
🔍 Why Calibration Matters
It aligns the sensor with the label gap, ensuring each label prints in the right place.
Fixes issues like misaligned cuts or improperly spaced text.
🛠️ Troubleshooting Tips
Sensor must be aligned BEFORE calibration.
If labels still misprint:
Re-open the lid and check sensor alignment again.
Power-cycle the printer and recalibrate.
Double-check the label roll is seated correctly.
If problems persist, consult Zebra support or your label supplier.
