Getting a New Workstation? Here’s What to Expect

New computer day? We know it’s exciting — but before you start naming it “BeastMode-3000,” here’s what you can expect when receiving a workstation from Parker Bass Solutions.

🎁 What’s Included

  • A fully configured and secured Windows or macOS device

  • Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.)

  • Pre-installed and pre-configured software for your role

  • PaperCut printing, if applicable

  • 1Password access (if enabled for your org)

  • Remote monitoring and management tools (for support and security)

🔐 First Login & Security

  • You’ll log in using your Microsoft 365 credentials on Windows and macOS.

  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is required. If not already set up, we’ll walk you through it.

  • Device is enrolled into company policies: this may include automatic backups, software updates, and security monitoring.

🔒 You don’t need to be an IT expert — we’ve locked it down so you can focus on work.

💾 Files & Migration

If you're replacing an old device:

  • Your files may be synced via OneDrive or SharePoint.

  • If needed, we’ll assist with migrating local files manually.

🚫 Admin Rights

To keep your device secure:

  • You won’t have administrator privileges by default.

  • If you need to install something specific, contact IT.
